Well not going to fight with you on that...since I am no a Mac user
(yet), but I know Fedora works pretty close. But root is enabled and I
do understand that OS X has root disabled from the start...

As little as I know about the Mac security model..it sounds very good.
Now if they can come to grips with the idea of  future threats and be
willing to talk about security issues more openly. ;)
