Here's "The Doomsday Virus".

It was written a year or so after 1986, before I'd actually seen a virus, 
after people had started talking about them, and before anyone had 
published any kind of analysis.
 
It was intended for publication in Personal COmputer World (I wrote a lot 
ofr magazines in those days). THe editor said he'd liked it and would have 
run it, but was worried that it might give people ideas.
