Incidentally, there's a *lot* of people unhappy with this, because they
wanted the requirement to be laptops instead. The tablets may be
"cool",
but they're way underpowered compared to a similar price laptop, and
there's
no clear objective for the use of a tablet's special features...

Somewhere between diddly and squat, given that we've *already* covered
basically the entire campus with wireless, and a good chunk of the students
and staff are laptop users already. As far as the net is concerned, a
tablet is the same problem as a laptop....
OK.. So I lied. We haven't covered the *whole* campus yet. You still
get crap for a signal in the middle of the Drill Field:
